“A sculpture of a black box. The interior of the box is lined with mirrors fixed on all sides. When the viewer places their head inside, they see their reflection multiplied into thousands of fragments, receding endlessly in all directions. Looking at the front of the box, they are confronted with themselves and their surrounding space. The exterior emphasizes the opposite—dark and closed—while the act of looking inside reveals the contrary: a free and open world.”
“Sculpture: Glow in the Dark. The sculpture is made of MDF and is viewed through four tunnels. The tunnels are lined with mirrors; when people look through an opening, they can see the other three individuals looking through the remaining tunnels. The sculpture was acquired through the Erste Fragments 7 competition.”
