Bio and exhibitions
Igor Taritaš (1987, Pakrac). He completed primary school in Hercegovac near Garešnica. After graduating from the School of Applied Arts and Design in Zagreb in 2007, he enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. He graduated in 2013 in the class of Professor Ante Rašić. He has held nineteen solo exhibitions and participated in several group exhibitions throughout Croatia and abroad. He works as an art teacher in Popovača. He has been a member of the Croatian Association of Fine Artists (HDLU) since 2012.
In 2016, he exhibited at the Painting Biennale, the group exhibition “Exporting Zagreb” at the National Museum in Gdańsk, Poland, followed by a solo exhibition at the renowned Gallery 2CforART in Salzburg, Austria, and participation in the group exhibition JUNGE KUNST AUS KROATIEN in St. Pölten, Austria. In 2017, he was invited to present his work at the major group exhibition “Grand Salon” 2017 at Villa Berberich in Germany.
In 2018, he established collaboration with Sol Art Gallery from Dublin and Von Fraunberg Gallery from Düsseldorf. These galleries presented his work at international art fairs in Hong Kong, London, Brussels, Singapore, and more.
In 2020, he exhibited at the “Knotenpunkt” urban art festival in Hamburg at Affenfaust Gallery. The same year, he won the HDLU (CreArt project) competition and created a mural in Martićeva Street in Zagreb.
In 2021, he began collaboration with Soon Art Gallery from Zurich and 30 Works Gallery from Cologne.
Igor Taritaš’s works are held in private collections in England, the USA, Canada, Australia, Germany, Norway, Ireland, Denmark, Italy, UAE, and others.
